We have BSL interpreters present at our committee meetings. Out of the eight people on the Committee, Bromley Chain is proud to boast that there are three "second generation" members, and we count ourselves fortunate indeed to have their young and enthusiastic input. We are delighted that Andrew is following in his late father's footsteps. Chris Andreou was Chair of Bromley Chain for several years in the eighties following the late Brian Campion and preceding Alan Roberts. Andrew and Tom were both born in the same year that Bromley Chain began and both benefited from the various play-schemes, carnivals and parties, signed pantomimes, interpreters, HIU equipment, text phones, smoke alarms and decoders provided by, campaigned for or donated via Bromley Chain. It's good to see that they are volunteering to carry on the best traditions of our local charity. Also Sarah's father David Connolly was the first Chair (1980-1983) and his wife, Undine was involved with Bromley Chain too, forming board of trustees and registered as a Charity in order to run activities and to raise funds.
