Bromley Chain is a charity set up by parents of deaf children in Bromley and is run by both deaf and hearing members working together to support Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing people living in Bromley.

Who are we?

  • Tinnitus sufferers

We also provide support for

  • Deaf Access Centre which aims to assist hearing impaired people by providing information, support, services and promoting public awareness

  • Deafblind club where guide/communicators are needed

  • Bromley Deaf Social Club

  • Bromley Ablement

  • Bromley Deaf Children’s Society

  • Hearing Impairment Units Darrick Wood Schools in Orpington

What do we do?

  • Promote Deaf Awareness in the Borough

  • Liaise with Bromley Council

  • Monitor local services

  • Plan for the future

  • Produce twice-yearly newsletter, Chainmail

  • Involve National Deaf organisations

  • Campaign for communication support and other issues

  • Loan communication equipment not available from Social Services

  • Provide information about local services for Deaf people
